The capital Berlin is the largest city in Germany and has a population of around 3.5 million. It is a city that displays a compilation of historical milestones and today, comprises of many diverse cultures.

Even though the city was destroyed in World War II and torn apart during the Cold War; Berlin has restored itself significantly, especially after the wall came down in 1989.

Checkpoint Charlie

This icon of the Cold War represents the border between the East and West of Germany. Nearby is the Haus am Checkpoint Charlie; where you can find various fascinating exhibitions on the Cold War era.

Berlin Wall Memorial

This remarkable 70 meter exhibition runs along the Bernauerstrasse and Ackerstrasse, just a few streets away from our city apartments. It shows historical photos and gives information on the area including future plans of reforming the memorial grounds.

Museum Islands

'Museumsinsel’ is situated in the Spree River where you can find 5 momentous museums; just a few minutes walk from our Berlin apartments.

Brandenburg Gate

This historical landmark built in 1788-1791 is recognizable all over the world. Well worth a visit to make a few snap-shots.

Holocaust Memorial

This impressive monument covers an area of 19.000 m2 south from Brandenburg Gate, consisting of 2,711 slabs of concrete. The architect wanted to create an uncomfortable & confusing atmosphere.
